Castaway Restaurant

What could be better than magnificent views of downtown Los Angeles, Burbank and the San Fernando Valley and beyond? Valet your car for $3.50, sit at the bar (no cover or charge) get there early, or make a reservation for dinner. You will see the fireworks from Hollywood Bowl, Universal Studios, and close by the show at Starlight Bowl.  Civilized, comfortable and a full bar to select your favorite cocktail.

From 6pm – 10pm This is an All American Buffet with drinks.

Beer Bash!

In the Lower Parking Lot. From 7-11pm. Fireworks, buffet with carving station, and DJ Dancing, photo booth and all you can drink draft beer!

Independence Day is the kick off for the 2013 Summer Concert Series. “Pride of America” promises to be another fun and patriotic fantastic fireworks show and concert.

Parking Opens at 4:30PM – Gates open at 5:30pm Concert begins at 6:30pm

Concert

The High Street Band is a nine member band with a repertoire of a mix including swing, blues, R&B, latin, oldies and ballads. This band is fun, fun, fun and will get you dancing! Catch their Act in the video below and you will see what I mean.

Food & Beverage

At the concessionaire you will find food and beverage from BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse.  San Marco Coffee will offer smoothies, pastries and of course, coffee.

 Fireworks

Many of our fine restaurants on San Fernando Road, Magnolia Park and Downtown Burbank/Ikea will be open, so make reservations early for dinner.

You are allowed to bring blankets, low back beach chair, your own food and beverage (beer/wine only, not hard liquor permitted) recyclable or reusable containers.

Holiday Inn – Burbank

This is a little unconventional,  one 4th of July night after returing from the Middle East, with total jetlag from a 12-hour flight, just to run into the arms of my little one yelling, “fireworks, I want to see fireworks!” I had to come up with something fast, free and furious…hmm? Where is the tallest building in Burbank that might have a rooftop, or something compatible with viewing the Starlight Bowl fireworks? The Holiday Inn! Of course, and they have an amazing glass exterior elevator. The staff was awesome and didn’t seem to mind the two of us riding the elevator, getting off of the top floor and catching the fireworks along with a few other hotel guests. Shhh.  Don’t blab this all over town, but if you are in a pinch they are were nice and be sure to go downstairs and order food and drinks in their restaurant! 150 E Angeleno Ave

Local Yocal Tips – Burbank

Another idea is to drive up Magnolia Blvd towards the hill and up near the Golf course are grassy areas where many local families throw a blanket and watch the fireworks with their kids.
